Week 8

Wow now just 2 weeks to go till the end of the school year.

This week is another busy one with Thursday being our Junior Big Day Out!

We are still collecting cans of tinned foods for the food bank.  If you would like to donate a can or two please bring it into class and I will write your child's house colour on it as every tin receives a house point.

No swimming this week.

Wednesday
School singing at 8.45am in the hall.

If you have any school reading books at home could you please return them by today so they can be put back in the resource room.

Thursday - our big day out, children to wear mufti and be at school at normal time 8.45 am.  Parent helpers will provide transport to Hannah's Bay.  We aim to leave school about      9.15 am.  Please ensure that your child has sunblock on before coming to school.  They will need togs, towel, suitable footwear for a short walk, a packed lunch and drink bottle (all NAMED).  We intend on being back at school around 2.30 pm.

If you have one of those "walk in gazebo" we could borrow for the day this would be much appreciated, please let me know if you have one we could use.

Friday - End of year school Mass at 1.00 pm.  Parents welcome to attend.

Next week

Monday 11th December (last week of school) Mrs Brolly is holding a "Christmas on the Field" event where the whole school will sing Christmas carols.  Our class will be performing "Pop, bang, crack!" and "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth".  I have included the links as you may like to practise at home with your child.  Parents are welcome to come and watch this show, starting at 11.15 am. Room 7 and room 11 will be performing together.

Wednesday 13th - during the middle block we will be holding a junior athletics day.  Children will participate in running, high jump, long jump, and throwing events.

Thursday 14th December the whole school will participate in a tryathlon.  This will include a  bike, run and swim where the emphasis is on trying and giving it a go.  More details about this next week but Mrs Dobson is asking for some parent helpers so if you are available please see her in room 6.

I would appreciate some helpers (adults) to help me move furniture from room 7 over to room 16 today from 1.30 pm onwards today.

Friday 15th school closes at 12.30pm

Lets hope and pray for good weather for Thursday's trip.
