Week 4

Good evening all,

This week we have our Grandparents/friends mass on Friday 10th November.  We begin the day starting with a church service at 9 am followed by welcoming of new children to St. Mary's.

At 10.00 am we will head back to Room 7 where we will have a shared morning tea with our grandparents/friends.  Please bring a plate of food to share for this.  At 10.30 you are welcome to get yourself a hot cuppa provided by our lovely PTA before heading to the field (or hall if we)t for a mini concert, featuring items below.  We aim to have the morning wrapped up by 12.30 pm.  This year there will also be a photo board opportunity for you and your grandchild/ren to have a family photo taken with a cool backdrop.

Also for Golden time in the afternoon the children have asked for a PJ party, so they are welcome to bring along their Pajamas.

This week I will finish the JAM (junior assessment for maths) testing and all children will do a writing easttle assessment to see what progress they have made over the year.

Concept - as I have mentioned before this term our concept, school wide is "symbolism" Over this week I will be asking your children to find symbols around their home, street, favourite places, places of interest to find symbols and if you can take photo's (they can be in the photo if they like) so we can display in our classroom.  You are welcome to email them to me and I will print out if it makes it easier.  email:  nicolar@stmarysrotorua.school.nz

Please remember to practise the spelling words (week 4), an updated spelling test will happen at the end of week 6 of this term.

Here's to another busy week
