The last week of term one is already here, and what a busy term it has been.

Monday is our Big Day Out, trip to the mount hot water salt pools then the rock pools to explore what communities live within them.  Please ensure your child is at school by 8.30am tomorrow morning as the bus needs to leave school at 9am sharp to make sure our plan for the day stays on schedule.  We intend to be back at school by 3pm.

Thank you to those parents who have offered to help out for the day, you would have received a note on Friday informing you which vehicle you are travelling in and who needs to go in the water to swim with the children.

Things to bring:  mufti clothes, lunch box and drink bottle, good walking shoes, togs and towels (if your child is not water confident and they have flotation devices you are welcome to bring these), good walking shoes and a change of clothing in case they get wet, a hat and have sunblock applied prior to coming to school.

Tuesday - normal school day

Wednesday - today whaea Nikki is on her professional development course"voyager" so the children will have a reliever for the day.

Thursday - last day of school for the term.  Today we will have a shared lunch to say goodbye to Natasha, as her and her whanau are moving to Palmerston North to live.  The children and myself will miss Natasha's enthusiasm and bubbly personality that she adds to our class.  We wish the Te Tomo family all the very best for the future.

On Thursday your child will receive their portfolio books to take home.  Please take the time to share these memories and learning that they have had over the term with them.  Be proud of their achievements and share their successes with family.

Reading logs - these will be handed out today as well.  Please encourage your child to continue reading, or being read too over the holiday and fill in the log so they go into the draw next term to win some awesome prizes.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Easter and school holiday break, see you next term.
